More Than a Wax & Skin Studio

DW0A0371_edited.jpg

The Honeysuckle Tribe was created to be more than a beauty studio — it was designed as a space where women feel cared for, confident, and completely at ease.

Through expert waxing, skin rituals, and hospitality-driven service, we help women reconnect with self-care in a way that feels intentional, elevated, and empowering.

The Story Behind The Honeysuckle Tribe

The Honeysuckle Tribe was created during one of the hardest seasons of founder NaTasha Jarrett’s life — a season marked by loss, divorce, transition, rebuilding, and rediscovering purpose.

Before entering the beauty industry, NaTasha spent over 20 years working in hospitality management and residential design, where she developed a deep appreciation for creating environments that feel welcoming, comforting, and intentional. But after the pandemic changed the course of both her career and personal life, she found herself navigating major life changes all at once — including the end of her marriage, career uncertainty, and the heartbreaking loss of her unborn daughter, Micheal Ann.

During a time when life felt unfamiliar and heavy, esthetics unexpectedly became more than a career path. Building The Honeysuckle Tribe gave NaTasha something to pour herself into again — a renewed sense of purpose, creativity, and connection during a season where she was rebuilding both personally and professionally. In many ways, this business became her purpose and her baby.

As she worked within the beauty industry, NaTasha realized many waxing experiences felt rushed, intimidating, or overly transactional — especially for first-time guests. She envisioned something different: a softer, more elevated experience rooted in warmth, hospitality, professionalism, and genuine care.

In 2022, that vision became The Honeysuckle Tribe.

What began as a small waxing studio in Columbia, Tennessee has continued evolving into a spa-inspired self-care space focused on expert waxing, skin treatments, intimate care, and meaningful guest experiences. Today, The Honeysuckle Tribe is more than a place for beauty services — it’s a reflection of resilience, confidence, comfort, and the belief that self-care should feel personal, intentional, and empowering.

Why “The Honeysuckle Tribe”?

The name Honeysuckle was chosen because it represents warmth, comfort, resilience, and the feeling of home — qualities that have always been at the heart of The Honeysuckle Tribe experience.

For founder NaTasha Jarrett, honeysuckle has always felt nostalgic and deeply Southern — something familiar, comforting, natural, and beautiful. When creating the brand, she wanted the space to feel the same way: warm, welcoming, calming, and personal rather than cold or overly clinical.

The word Tribe represents connection, belonging, and community. From the very beginning, the vision for The Honeysuckle Tribe was to create more than a beauty business. It was to create a space where women feel supported, cared for, comfortable, and confident in their own skin.

Together, the name reflects the heart behind the brand: intentional self-care, genuine connection, and a place where confidence blooms.

At The Honeysuckle Tribe, my goal is to blend my background in hospitality and interior design with esthetics to create a welcoming, guest-focused environment. I want to build more than just a studio—I want to cultivate a tribe where individuals who share insecurities about unwanted hair and skin concerns can find support, comfort, and confidence.

Here, our clients are more than just guests—they are family. This is a space where self-care meets self-love, and where every visit leaves you feeling empowered, beautiful, and truly at home.

Story

The Honeysuckle Tribe began as a vision—like many businesses do—but this one was born from life’s most profound challenges. In the fall and winter of 2020, I found myself at a crossroads. A divorce forced me to close my interior design business, I lost my hospitality management job as it was deemed non-essential, and I endured the heartbreaking loss of my unborn daughter, Micheal Ann, at 23 weeks pregnant. In the midst of grief, I searched for light—a purpose that would bring joy and meaning, not just for myself but in honor of my daughter. I have always been passionate about aesthetics and the power of beauty in boosting confidence. I wanted to create a space where women felt seen, supported, and empowered—a sisterhood, a sanctuary, a tribe. In the spring of 2021, I began my journey in Aesthetics, initially drawn to skincare. However, I quickly gravitated toward hair removal, captivated by the instant satisfaction it provided, despite the discomfort. I dove deep into research, studying waxing techniques, ingredients, and aftercare to refine the experience and minimize client discomfort. After earning my license, I worked at a fast-paced waxing salon in Nashville. While I valued the experience, I felt that waxing—such an intimate service—deserved a more personal touch. I envisioned a space where clients weren’t just another appointment, where high-quality ingredients and a little extra care could transform the experience. When my family and I relocated to Columbia, the long commute to Nashville no longer made sense. I shared my dream with my husband—my unwavering belief that I could build something different, something better. In May 2022, The Honeysuckle Tribe was born. My love for gardening has always been a source of healing, and I poured that same nurturing energy into my business. What started in a small room within a local salon—where I performed just one service my first week—quickly blossomed. Within a year, I had a full schedule and a growing demand, signaling it was time to expand. Looking back, it was my darkest moments that led me here. The Honeysuckle Tribe is more than a business; it’s a space where women can embrace their confidence and celebrate their beauty. My goal is to continue growing this vision, empowering women one service at a time. — NaTasha S. Jarrett

Our Name

The name Honeysuckle Tribe reflects my deep love for nature and the resilience of flowers as they grow and thrive despite adversity. Honeysuckle, known for its delicate beauty, is a remarkably strong and persistent plant. Once it takes root, it flourishes effortlessly—just like the women who walk through our doors, seeking confidence and self-care. Symbolizing happiness, trust, and renewal, honeysuckle represents the journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Much like a tribe, we are a community bound by shared experiences, supporting one another through insecurities about beauty, hair, and skin. The Honeysuckle Tribe is more than a studio—it’s a space to feel seen, nurtured, and celebrated as you embrace your most confident self.
